Master Chorale and the Northeastern Junior College have announced Rebecca Hester as their scholarship recipient for the Spring 2023 semester.
Hester is a sophomore music major at Northeastern Junior College, studying vocal music performance, ear training and music theory with Professor Celeste Delgado-Pelton. She also has one class with Professor Lee Lippstrew, where he says she provides some great perspective on some of the topics they have been discussing.
Rebecca says she has enjoyed singing since third grade, and she loves seeing how music can make a person’s day a little bit brighter. Rebecca graduated from Sterling High School where she performed with Annette Lambrecht’s vocal music groups.
After NJC Rebecca would like to pursue music therapy as a career.
