Enrollment, Retention, and Completion

Enrollment, Retention and Completion information is provided here for year over year comparison.

The Weekly Student Enrollment tables contain data gathered each Monday pertaining to the number of students enrolled each week during the current semester. The previous semesters contain data as of the last day of that semester. These tables feature a breakdown by credit hours, grade level and student type; and show a total headcount and FTE for that week. Data Source: Banner/Cognos Enrollment Reports

The Enrollment, Retention and Completion tables contain data pertaining to Northeastern students over several previous years.  Retention and Completion tables also feature a breakdown of students by gender, race/ethnicity, PELL eligibility and first generation.  PELL eligibility is income related and first generation means that a student does not have at least one parent who received a Bachelor's degree.

The Academic Year Enrollment table consists of an unduplicated headcount of all students, the attempted credit hours and the FTE (full time equivalent) generated. Data Source: IPEDS 12 Month Enrollment Survey.

The Retention table shows Fall to Fall Retention of new first-time, full-time students.  Data Source: Colorado Department of Higher Education One Year Fall to Fall Retention Rates Report.

The Completion table shows rates of completion (graduation) of new first-time, full-time students who have been awarded certificates and/or degrees from Northeastern within a three year period (150%); as well as the transfer out rates for students who did not receive a Northeastern award, which is then computed into a final combined percentage. Data Source: IPEDS Graduation Rates 150% Survey

FTE (full time equivalent) will be slightly different for IPEDS than for the State of Colorado due to differences in rules for counting credit hours.
