Northeastern Junior College celebrated its 75th anniversary in style this past weekend, with a number of events, including its 49th annual Auto Show, put on Saturday and Sunday by the NJC Auto Tech Club.
According to Layton Peterman, coordinator of the auto technology department at NJC, approximately 800-850 people attended this year’s show, including all of the participants.
“All of the vehicles here this year were of very high quality, and we had a very large number of pickups in the show this year,” he said. “As usual, the NJC Auto Tech Club and Program would like to thank everyone for their support!”
Along with the auto show, on Saturday the club held its second annual Gravity Race, featuring valve covers, pro stock, pinewood derby, and “Random Runners.” Plus, the NJC Diesel Club put on its second annual Big Diesel Show and Shine.
