The Psychology program at Northeastern provides students to take a variety of classes that will build the foundation for a career in Behavioral Sciences. Northeastern offers both A.A and A.S in Psychology that will transfer out to 4-year colleges.

Associate of Science

The Psychology program offers students the opportunity to take a very comprehensive selection of courses. This program would prepare transfer students to pursue bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, counseling, social work, and other areas in the behavioral sciences. Students are encouraged to have a strong mathematics and statistics background and to take courses in the natural sciences (e.g. biology and chemistry) as well.

Emphasizes planning, writing, and editing/revisions of compositions, coupled with development of critical and logical thinking skills. Expands and refines the objectives of English Composition I. Focuses on a variety of functions and exploration of their graphs. Topics include: equations and inequalities, operations on functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, linear and non-linear systems and an introduction to conic sections.
