Below you will find helpful information to guide you through the process of becoming a student at Northeastern.
It is our goal to help you achieve your academic goals as quickly and affordably as possible. To do this, all students are paired with an Academic Advisor in their area of interest (Business, Music, Wind Technology, etc.) once they are registered. To get started, please sign up for a Registration Day at I'm ready!
For general advising prior to registration, you can also view information at Student Success Office or contact the Student Success Office at 970-521-6663 or NJCStudentSuccessCenter@njc.edu.
At Northeastern, we work hard to help you find ways to pay for college. Tuition and Fees rate tables can be found in the Cashier’s webpage. Be sure to check our Financial Aid tab for more information on paying for college.
There are many ways for full-time and part-time students to get financial help to pay for college and related expenses.
The Northeastern Financial Aid office has information on:
- Federal & State Grants
- State Merit Scholarships
- Federal & State Work Study
- Scholarships
- Student & Parent Loans

The first step to qualify for any government sponsored financial aid (grants, loans, and work study programs), is to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Northeastern encourages all students to complete the FAFSA, regardless of your household income. The Financial Aid office is happy to help you complete the paperwork. The Northeastern Financial Aid office is located in Hays Student Center, Room 102; 970-521-6800; or NJCFinAid@njc.edu
NOTE: Apply early! It may take up to two (2) weeks for your federal financial aid to come through once you have applied.
