Area of Study

Equine

Our programs range from equine pre-veterinary science to equine training to equine business management. The educational opportunities within the area are endless with an indoor facility, onsite stalling, hands-on experience in the classroom and in the arena.

Northeastern accepts colts into our equine training program for our students to receive hands on experience.

We prefer not to accept any colts older than 4 years of age.

Information message

Registration information is not mandatory, but it may help us do a better job matching colts with students.

Status message

All colts must be halter trained, quiet, and feet must have been trimmed. It is also helpful, but not mandatory, that they be up to date on Rhino-Flu, Strep vaccinations, as well as worming. All colts will be given a flu booster during the semester. Any colts found to be a danger to students, or not contributing to a learning environment, will be sent home (kicking, or obvious aggressive behavior). We do not take stallions or bred mares into our program.
