Why did you choose and/or what do you like about Northeastern? Why?

I choose Northeastern Junior College because I always went there in high school for basketball camps and sports, and I have always loved the campus.  For a small town community college, the campus has the environment of a university and it is beautiful!

What do you like about your area of study? Why?

My area of study is nursing and the reason I choose this is because I've been a Certified Nurses Assistant for about 4 years and have always enjoyed taking care of others.  Nursing is a challenging career and the ADN program at NJC prepares you well for the responsibilities of a nurse. 

What do you plan to do after graduation?

After graduation I plan to continue my nursing education at the University of Northern Colorado to finish my BSN degree, and hopefully obtain my MSN degree in the future.

What inspires you?

What has always inspired me and kept me pushing forward is my family.  They always support me and believe that I can do anything I set my mind on.  I come from a very blended family and I am the first of my siblings to go to college, so being a role model has always kept me on track.

What is your favorite memory or awkward moment at Northeastern?

My favorite memory at NJC is moving an elliptical machine from the gym to the HOSA room; it took five of us!
