What is your city/town known for? Is it different from Sterling?
I live in a small village, so it's not known for that much, The city next to us is bigger and you can compare this city with Sterling (number of inhabitants, shops, restaurants).
If we could visit one place in your country, where would it be and why?
I would recommend the capital city of Berlin, because there you can see a lot of history and very nice places.
Did you always know you wanted to study in the U.S.?
No. I got interested to it in my senior high school year.
What were you excited or nervous about before you left?
I was excited abou the culture, my soccer team and the campus. I was nervous about the different school systems if I canhandle it and the fact that I have no family members around me. But now NJC is my second family!
Have you had a memorable moment at NJC? What was it?
Yes. it was my first college soccer game. My team and me had two games and won both. It was a great feeling I will never forget.
What advice would you give another student thinking about studying in the U.S.?
Just do it, have fun, and enjoy it! This experience will be so good for your growing as a person and it can open more doors finding a job back home (if you want to go home).
