Honors Admission Process
Admission Process
The Honors Program accepts admission applications on a rolling basis throughout the academic year. The Honors Program admission application can be found on the NJC website: www.njc.edu/honors
If there is room in the program priority will be given to applications that are received by October 15 of each year for students to start in the program the following spring semester.
Applications for CTE students will only be accepted in the Fall semester for the following spring semester. Priority will be given to the applications received by October 15.
Applications received by April 1, for the fall semester, will be given priority.
Additional Information
- Students with more than 30 credit hours will not be accepted to the Honors Program.
- First year nursing students will not be admitted to the program. There simply will not be enough time for the necessary work for the nursing program and the honors program.
- Concurrent enrollment students will not be accepted to the Honors Program.
- Students who are not in good academic standing with NJC or with a violation in their student files will not be accepted to the Honors Program.
- Students who do not meet the admission requirements can petition the Honors Program Director for admission. They will then meet with the Director who may waive the requirements and allow a student admission. They must then meet the requirements of all students to continue in the program.
